Gino Valentino Vested Wool Suit

Deciding to buy this suit was very easy for me. It looked great in the pictures and the fact that it was selling at a bargain (at greater than 70% off)  was a clincher. I own a couple other Gino Valentino suits already and in my humble opinion these suits are some of the most durable and wearable suits I have worn. However, this was the first Gino Valentino vested suit I’ve bought that is in black. The other ones I own are in navy blue and grey.

Anyway, it took some time before this suit was delivered to our house. I think there was a mix up with the delivery address. But I was still ecstatic when I received the package. The suit looked perfect when I took it out of the box. Since the suit jacket, vest and pants are made of wool, it did not crease much even though it was delivered folded. This is one of the main reasons I lean towards wool suits, they do not crease as easily as suits made with other materials. They are very light weight and airy which makes them quite easy to wear. During summer, the material is quite breathable which is always great as I hate feeling muggy, especially when all suited up.

The jacket is lined with silk and is hand stitched to perfection. The intricacy of the lining detail with this suit is spectacular! The jacket has the usual features you would expect of a quality single breasted suit: two buttons, a full canvas front, notch lapel and dual side vents including inner jacket pockets.

The vest is also very nice and comes with four buttons. I must mention I do not use it as much as the jacket and pants because it does not fit my torso very well. Not a big deal though, I have a couple other vests that fit very well (perks of being a suit fanatic! ;-)) and given that this suit is jet black, it is very easy to mix and match vests.

The flat front pants come with a drop of six inches and they fit perfectly. The hemming was done very well. Some other suits I buy online do not come hemmed which can be a pain as I need to get them tailored to make sure they fit me well.

The modern cut of the Gino Valentino vested suit was, overall, very nice. It was not the ideal slim fit that I am usually accustomed to (just my preference) but I am nonetheless very happy with it because it still looks sleek. Go ahead and check the suit out online to see if  its for you. I do want to mention that stocks run out pretty fast for this particular model so be quick!
