Few people need a long-winded introduction on the Rolex brand. As such, this Rolex piece is a compelling and versatile watch that few people will complain about, especially when they see the price point. The Rolex Datejust Rhodium Diamond Dial 18kt White Gold Fluted Mens Watch is a strong contender as one of the more interesting pieces available, with the look and feel that you would expect to get from a stainless steel men’s watch. In fact, at first glance, you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s stainless, but it’s not; this piece is instead made of 18kt white gold and flushed with jewels on the interior.

Pros
The dial is made of scratch-resistant sapphire, which is definitely a strong point. It allows for a clear view of the interior dial, which is brushed silver in tone and doesn’t allow for much contrast from the band or the hands. It could be hard to read for some and the watch is definitely not played up for visibility as much as it is played up for fashion and distinct style points.

The dial color is listed as rhodium and the bezel material is fixed with 18kt white gold. The automatic movement is stellar and will keep going for a substantial amount of time. Diamond hour markers outline the rim and you’ll get analog display on this one. With automatic movement, screw down crown and Swiss-made precision pieces, you’ll be hard-pressed not to like this one. It’s a strong, and high-priced solution for those who want something solid and gold instead of purely stainless steel, or even silver. The water resistance on this is 330 feet (100 meters), which is a nice touch in case you get it wet or you jump into a pool with it on. With a layer of scratch resistance, you can also be rest assured that it’s not going to get scratched easily.

Cons
Finding a negative review on higher end watches, including those from Rolex, is not an easy task. You’ll find that the gold design, diamond pieces and overall aesthetic scream high-end, thereby making it difficult to find any cons. Speaking from a technical point, you’ll find that reading the interior is a bit rough as the color doesn’t allow for an easy transition point. Outside of the clear dial glass, it can be tough to tell time on the run. The contrast doesn’t allow for it, but as you continue to wear this watch, you’ll find it easier to rely on the analog display.

The Final Verdict
In the end, the Rolex Datejust Rhodium Diamond Dial 18kt White Gold Fluted Mens Watch is a solid and sturdy timepiece. The all-gold design is quite good. The brand really does well to make sure that you know you have an expensive piece on your wrist. If you’re ready to take the plunge click here.
